Hello! 👋 Let me share a brief summary about my journey in medicine and pediatrics: I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Medical Sciences (UCIMED). I did one year of mandatory social service as a general practitioner in the Health Area of Barranca, Puntarenas.

In 2015, I joined the emergency department of the National Children's Hospital (HNN), and in 2017, I began my three-year postgraduate studies at the University of Costa Rica, at HNN, and completed an external rotation in the Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine service at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. 🇦🇺

I participated for three consecutive years in the International Congress of Pediatric Pulmonology (CIPP). After completing my specialty studies, I joined the Marcial Rodríguez Conejo Clinic.

I believe that working as a team for the patient's well-being is wonderful, which is why at the clinic I founded different multidisciplinary projects such as the Neurodevelopment Consultation and Asthma and Allergy Clinic. Similarly, I was part of the National Program for Comprehensive Adolescent Care together with psychology, psychiatry, social work, and obstetric nursing. For two years, I provided my services as a pediatrician in the Neonatology service of the San Rafael Hospital in Alajuela.

Last year I returned to HNN, initially in the neurology service and currently work in the Minor Infants Service, a hospitalization service for babies 0-6 months.

Finally, this year I opened Statera Medical together with Ana Castillo, where we seek to provide an integral approach to the family.

At this moment I am taking a certification at the Infant Sleep Institute (ISI) in Mexico, to become an infant sleep consultant.
